    This goregous book clutch features an original 1971 'The Complete Works of William Shakespeare' hard cover, which is in mint condition for its 49 year age! This book clutch is the perfect fusion of elegance and vintage and it would impress the pants off any literary nerd or Shakespeare buff. This is a bespoke clutch and only ONE in stock. 
     
    The hard cover has been elegantly matched with a new, gold-toned Collette Heyman evening clutch, featuring a gold pop clasp and 60 cm gold shoulder chain. The chain can be easily detached or slipped inside the clutch so that you can easily mix up your look. It can easily fit a phone, coin purse and cards/cash ( please see dimensions below). This book clutch would look stunning with a little black dress, or alternatively you could dress it down with jeans and a shirt.  

    The evening clutch is black faux leather, featuring a black, nylon lining and slip pocket, perfect for storing cards or small keepsakes.

    Your book clutch has been handmade with love from my studio on the Central Coast of NSW. All books are sourced from second hand stores and pre-loved shops – so no new or unread books are damaged in the process. Yay to that! Clutches (unless specified in the description above) are also sourced from pre-loved stores and upcycled – part of the art of making a book clutch involves lovingly selecting clutches and purses that match the colour, theme and dimensions of the book. Please note: The upcycled purses/clutches and books may have minor flaws or imperfections consistent with their age, but this will not detract from their unique and beautiful, handmade look.
     
    Manuscripts of books are reused for art projects, book sculptures and scrap booking, so nothing goes to waste. My business philosophy is to recycle and reuse – and to ultimately transform unloved books into wearable pieces of art for book fans to enjoy. I hope you enjoy your book clutch and get as much satisfaction from showing it off as I do making them.

    Care Instructions:
    To preserve the life of your precious book clutch, please avoid all damp surfaces, drips or spills. Treat your book clutch in the same way you would a precious book - with lots of tenderness and care! This book clutch has intentionally not been laminated to preserve its vintage, matte finish, so please avoid rain or any wet conditions.
     
     

    • SHIPPING

      Processing times for your order are 1-3 business days. If you have selected Express Post delivery, expect to receive your order the next day, although sometimes it can take 2-3 days, according to Australia Post. I recently bought gifts online and selected Express Post with Australia Mail – the parcel came three days later – so allow for this when placing your order.

      If you have selected Standard Post, please allow at least 5-7 business days for delivery. These times may be much longer during the Christmas/Easter period, so please allow enough time for your parcel to arrive. I cannot be held responsible for any delays in the parcel arriving – but will endeavour to have your parcel processed and sent as soon as I can. :)

      If you need an order urgently shipped as a gift, choose the Express Post delivery option. You will receive a tracking number when your order is shipped, and be notified via email that your parcel is on its merry way. 😊

      I am currently not shipping overseas, but if you are an overseas buyer, please contact me and I can arrange a shipping quote for you. 

    • REFUNDS AND EXCHANGES

      Please ensure you choose your book clutch wisely, as I do not accept refunds or exchanges if you simply change your mind. Feel free to send me a message if you have any queries before you make your purchase.

      If the item has a major fault, I will happily offer you an exchange or refund the book clutch price. For an exchange/refund in this instance, please notify me within 7 days of delivery and return the item within 14 days of delivery so I can promptly send back to you and have the matter rectified. Please note: You will be able to exchange your item with the available stock I have listed in my store.

      Conditions of return: Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.
