Alice in Wonderland Art: Mixed media 3D sculpture
'Dreaming of Alice' is a striking, unique artwork made from the pages and illustrations from Alice in Wonderland.
Description:
'Dreaming of Alice' is adorned with yellow sparrows on her forehead/ chin, pink roses from Wonderland on her cheek, and of course the text from Alice in Wonderland layered over her face, ears and on her collar. It features a striking image of Alice around her neck areas, and the door to Wonderland is on her headband, symbolically placed to the right of her brain. The Chapter 'Down the Rabbit Hole' has been strategically placed on the top of her head - meaning that we can tumble down the hole and into Wonderland by just using our imagination!
Materials:
This is a bespoke creation made with collaged, original Alice in Wonderland words, love, images, glue/sealant. The base is a polystyrene, light weight female head. Because of this light weight, 'Dreaming of Alice' can be easily repositioned around your home and would look stunning on a dressing table, mantelpiece or anywhere you'd just like to gaze at Alice!
